This summer, Sebastian Spendrup kindly gave me a guided tour of his family's brewery on the outskirts of stockholm. The setting seemed like a futuristic power plant, due to the lighting. The brewery was actually quite old. The photo was shot in 35mm film and was not altered.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the backstory. These are the types of portraits I enjoy where the subject in captured in their element and they blend perfectly. The diagonal line of lights serves as a perfect separation between compositional elements (blue/green, mechanical/human, darker/lighter, high/low).
Sweden is the future.
